Yes, there's a big difference, and most service-based businesses struggle with their niche because they're approaching it as a way to encompass everything they offer.

In all the years (24 and counting...!)

I've worked in marketing, niche is the most misunderstood concept.

Normally perceived as 'small' or 'narrow' ...

it also attaches to feelings of 'less opportunity' and therefore 'less clients'.

Which makes sense...

until you discover that niche doesn't mean small or narrow! And it actually helps you create more opportunities!

The only businesses I've worked with who've achieved growth in the 1,000%'s are those with a very well-defined niche.

This is why it's the first and most critical step of any marketing strategy.
